California Law consists of 29 codes, covering various subject areas, the State Constitution and Statutes. Information reflects laws currently in effect. The California Cancer Registry was established in accordance with the California Health and Safety Code sections 103875, 103885 and 100330.

The Official California Code of Regulations implement the state statutes and have the same force of law as court decisions or legislation. The California Cancer Registry must comply with section 2593 of the Official California Code of Regulations.
